A fine, Regency neoclassical chimneypiece in Statuary, Sienna, Jasper and Rosso Antico marble.
A Neoclassical chimneypiece of statuary, veneered Siena and inlaid Jasper & Rosso Antico marbles, circa 1800. The plain rectangular shelf above the Siena frieze which is centred with a tablet carved with strigils around an oval of Rosso Antico. The pilaster jambs are inlaid with three Sienna flutes, and the corner blocks above are inlaid with Jasper. The whole raised on foot blocks.
