A Regency chimneypiece of scale and presence, the whole carved from Belgian Black marble, with fluted Doric columns for jambs. These columns employ entasis, the application of a gentle convex curve to correct the human eye's tendency to see a straight column with a slight concave curve. This resonant piece carries great impact and presence with its architectural nature evoking ideas of a classical temple.
