An 18th century style steel register grate of simple but pleasing Neoclassical Adam design. The enclosed firebox with four curved horizontal bars to the front, above a curved apron with pierced fluted decoration upheld by upright panels capped with elegant urn finals. The surrounding inset metal slips with running pearl around the opening. The top centred with a rectangular plaque with applied escutcheon.
