Garendon

No expense has been spared in producing this beautiful chimneypiece. The shelf and jambs of this fire surround are carved out of solid blocks of Breche in the traditional 18th century manner. The corner blocks decorated with circular paterae are carved out of one piece of marble and not veneered, to create the effect of throwing the rich purples and greens of the marble into relief.
