Holwood Black

This plain, but well-proportioned and drawn black marble fireplace is based on a design by the highly influential architect Sir John Soane (1753–1837) and has a moulded shelf, pilaster shaped jambs and deep mouldings framing the opening, echoing his early 19th century designs.
