A well designed, Neo classical fireplace in Carrara and statuary marble, the strong lines of the horizontal and vertical bands of the finger flutes and contrasting circular paterae give a special balanced movement to this fireplace which is a copy of a late 18th Century original in the manner of Sir John Soane, purchased by our antiques department from the famous Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Manhattan.
