A reproduction of a striking Regency original, comparables of which can be seen in the collection of Queen Elizabeth, the Queen mother, and formerly at Royal Lodge, with ten in total in the Royal Collection today. With a drop in seat, and faux-bamboo legs, arms and back, this striking chair evokes that exotic enclave and retreat from harsh English weather: the orangery.
