Grand Original Globe

The Grand Original Globe is the larger-scale iconic reproduction of an antique original lantern, dating from the 1830s, which began the Jamb story. There have been many iterations of the famous Globe, with various of moulding, embellishment, finial and finish, but never, until now, on such a grand scale. Here, we see slim brown-bronze mouldings with distressed gilt highlights holding twelve hand-blown panes of curved glass while a gold band of intricately pierced brass guilloche circles the bolly of the lantern. Its elegant gadroon-moulded chimney hangs from a leaf-cast ceiling rose.
