Lotus Wall Light with Clear Glass

The lotus flower design of this wall light evokes a central motif of Egyptian, and later Roman, design. The gadrooned circular base, as it leads up to the stem, folds back into distressed gilt sepals and an upturned, clear glass dome protects the candle. Taking inspiration from English, Regency-era Neoclassicism, this wall light evokes the world Austen and Thackeray knew; of brocade in candlelight.
