A Late 19th Century Oushak Carpet (5777)

With muted dark blue field, with striking overall pattern, almost geometric in feeling but sparse in atmosphere, with faded ochre and burnt umber border. In stable condition, with pleasing wear showing through the field, and with some recent sensitive restorations for structural consolidation.
